I camped, hiked, drove, dined, stayed, explored, photographed and wrote my way through three book-length travel guides: Moon Death Valley National Park, Moon Joshua Tree & Palm Springs, and Moon Best of California State Parks. I am interested in outdoors and travel articles and book-length projects. See my contact information below and get in touch.

Work With Me

I have a background in anthropology and English literature. I enjoy writing about the intersection of nature, culture and history.

About Me

I’m Jenna Blough. Writer. Traveler. Growing up on the edge of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, I was allowed to run wild, which instilled my love for the outdoors early on. After my parents dragged my sister and me on an epic cross-country road trip—visiting American classics like Wall Drug in South Dakota, Mesa Verde in Colorado, and the Petrified Forest in Arizona—I developed an equal appreciation for western vistas and historic sites. I enjoy spending time in the deserts and mountains – places where the landscape is all-encompassing. I like to explore Southwestern deserts with their ghost towns, native sites, and austere landscapes. I appreciate the West’s rugged mountains for natural beauty, recreation and history. I am a camper, hiker and explorer of out-of the way places. I live in Los Angeles with my husband and daughter.
